I am so tired.
I seem to have been running, running, running and getting nowhere the last couple of days.
On Sunday, Adam slept until after 9am. I was glad. It probably helped him get over the shock. He seemed fine and wasn't complaining of any pain. I gave him painkillers anyway.
We hadn't planned to do much on Sunday.
We did go out to visit Keith's Aunty and Uncle who we had already planned to meet up with. Personally, I think we should have stayed in, but I have to say I did enjoy the visit. We haven't seen them for ages, and it seems we only meet up these days for funerals. We came away with a slow cooker which Aunt Chris was gonna throw away, and a deep-fat fryer as well. I've never owned a deep-fat fryer, they say they aren't healthy. But I have to say they cook food fast. Don't know though if we will continue to use it. We'll see.
Adam did want to go to the Air Museum, but it was pouring with rain, and I was worried he would get his bandages wet. So we didn't go.
You'll never guess what we bought Sunday afternoon.......go on have you guessed yet.???
Another TV. Oh no you might say. It was OK though. It was exactly the same as the baby elephant but much smaller, and will fit perfectly in one of the caravans.
It was quite funny really.
To start with we went to the wrong house.
We knocked on the door. A woman answered. Keith said "We've come to look at the TV" She looked at us for a minute as if she was thinking if she had called someone to look at her TV. Then she said "Why what's wrong with it???" I started to laugh. I couldn't help it.
By the time we had apologised and got back into the car I was nearly hysterical.
To make it worse the real woman was standing on her drive watching us and laughing as well.
We were all laughing about it all day.
Yesterday (Monday) nothing much going on.
I went into Adam's school to let them know what had happened and to tell them I didn't know when Adam would be back at school.
I posted some mail at the same time.
I had to put Adam into the shower before he went to the hospital to have his bandages changed.
Wasn't that fun.!!!
I sellotaped a bread wrapper over his hand and told him to try and keep his arm out of the water and to hold it up in the air.
It worked anyway.
His bandages did not get wet.
WhileI was drying him. More trouble.
I noticed a verruca on his toe. Only a small one luckily and hopefully it will be easy to get rid of.
Now we have not been swimming since September I think.
Adam went last Friday with the school.
He also apparently does PE in bare feet. Could he have caught it that way do you think.???
I thought you could only catch veruccas through swimming.
Does anyone know.???
Yesterday was a long day. Trying to keep Adam amused. He can't do much without his right hand. We've sat snuggled on the settee watching Tom & Jerry for a while. He was pottering about watching me work. Actually he just bought me a piece of cake. What a good clever boy you might say. I thought so too until I realised he had eaten the strawberries off the top first. You've got to laugh I suppose.
Has anyone noticed that the mornings are getting lighter. I've just come back from taking Laura to work, and it seems quite light.
I had better go and get us both dressed. We don't have to be at the doctors until 1.40pm this afternoon. Maybe time for a bit of housework. Or maybe not.!!!:)
I have 332 alerts this morning. Maybe I'll have time to catch up abit. If I haven't visited you for a while I'm sorry.
Thank you for all your kind words for Adam yesterday. I've been reading all your comments to him. Trying to explain who everyone is. I think he's quite enjoying the attention. Bless him. I've given him hugs from everyone.
Well, I hope you all have a good day.
I'm off for a cup of tea. And probably more Tom & Jerry.
Adam chose the pictures today. I think he chose great ones.
Thank you Sugar.
Take care

Hi carol I am laughing my sides sore here at the woman saying why whats wrong withthe TV Haaaa.Soon people will be calling you the TV couple seeing you carry them all into your home Haa.I am happy to read you managed to find a bright idea how to keep Adams dressing dry in the shower.veruca's as far as i know are highly infectious contagious.if not covered up.Other people can get them from standing on the same spot if they have bare feet.I would get a little shower mat for Adam and use it just for him when he goes in the shower. Then give the shower a good clean and knowone else will be likely to get them from him.Unless they already have been in contact with bare feet themselves in that area he has stood on.So be careful.I hope you have a lovely Wednesday.Happy TV watching LOL!!Take Care God Bless kath astoriasand http://journals.aol.co.uk/astoriasand/MYSIMPLERHYMES
Yep, that must have been a source of some merriment, Carol.
You can catch verrucas on floors as easy as in a swimming pool.
Glad that Adam is still doing good. I had to smile about you two going to the wrong house to get the TV. Bet the woman was puzzled. Good for you getting a two cookers of different kinds from Keith's family. Hope you have a great day. Helen
His choice of pictures is excellent ~ love the penguins. Glad he is doing well, he is a brave little soldier isn't he? It sounds like you are having a good time buying tv's....that is a funny story. I hope today is good day for you.

Glad you are feeling better today Adam and these are great graphics you chose!!
Linda :)
Great pictures Adam and I'm ever so glad you are feeling better. If you can't eat the strawberries off of someone else's cake, then life's just not worth the pain is it? lol
We used to have a deep fat fryer until I looked over one day just in time to see the hot fat coming up over the top of the pot and my baby daughter sitting on the floor underneath. I was able to grab her away just in time before it hit the floor. I'd never have another one. Mind you that was 29 years ago. These newer ones are a lot safer.
